Fr. Bob  |  Donna Stachulski

 Fr. Bob LaCroix- Pastor

Allow me to introduce myself. I am Fr. Bob LaCroix and I was appointed the new pastor of St. Linus Parish starting July 1, 2003. I am very excited to be at St. Linus and I am enjoying getting to know everyone in the parish. My initial contacts with the parish community, and all the people who have come up to me with ‘scouting reports’ on you, have only confirmed my expectations that indeed God has blessed me greatly in calling me to love and serve the Lord with you.

This is my first assignment as a pastor. I have been ordained a priest for eight years. My previous assignments as an associate have been Christ the Good Shepherd in Lincoln Park, Our Lady of Sorrows in Farmington, and St. Frances Cabrini in Allen Park.

Although I have only been a priest for eight years, I have been engaged in full time pastoral and evangelistic work since college (I graduated from the University of Michigan in 1974). I have worked especially with college students and young adults in Michigan, Maryland, Belgium, London, England and throughout the world.

I think that the most important thing you can know about me is that I love being a priest. What I most want to do with my life is know, love and serve the Lord and help others to do the same. Being a priest is a tremendous way to do this. I have a deep love for the Eucharist, the Scriptures, and the People of God. I believe that my role as pastor is not to do everything but to equip the saints (that would be you) to use your gifts (given to you from God) to build up the Body of Christ. God has a lot in store for us.

I love to golf, read, walk on beaches, and get invited over for dinner. I like everything but beets. I especially like garden fresh tomatoes in the summer.

You are now in my daily prayers. I depend on yours.

Donna Stachulski- Director of Religious Education

My name is Donna Stachulski and I am the DRE at St. Linus Parish. I have been working in the Religious Education Department over ten years now in various areas of ministry. I graduated from Madonna University in May of 2002 with a Bachelors Degree in Pastoral Ministry. I have been certified by the Archdiocese of Detroit as a level three for the position of Director of Religious Education. In May 2006,  I graduated from  Sacred Heart Major Seminary with a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Ministry.

I am married and we will celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary in November. I am an avid collector of angels and teddy bears, and I really enjoy reading when I can find the time.

Stop by the Religious Ed. Office whenever you are around, my door is always open to you, and I am looking forward to an exciting year filled with many great opportunities to meet you all.
